FHI 360 serves all U.S. states and territories, including Liberia Job Summary: FHI 360 is seeking Drivers for both Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health under the EpiC project and the STRengthening Infectious Disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) project to be implemented in Liberia. The Drivers will provide reliable and safe driving services, ensuring high accuracy of work, and will support the Maternal Neonatal Child Health (MNCH) and STRengthening Infectious Disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) project teams by operating the project vehicles to ensure safe transportation of clients/project staff to and from various destinations. S/He will demonstrate a client-oriented approach, a high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact, and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. Assumes responsibility for care and maintenance of the vehicle; washes exterior and cleans interior; ensures maintenance and repair of the vehicles in Liberia. Accountabilities: Operate assigned vehicle for project implementation in accordance with FHI 360 policies and the national driving rules and regulations. Maintain vehicle logbook and promptly update the book with accurate travel information and routine refuel of the vehicle. Promptly liaise with the supervisor for major and minor vehicle repairs and maintenance. Track routine fuel consumption and submit accurate fuel consumption reports for fuel replenishment. Provides day-to-day maintenance of the vehicle with timely oil changes, inspections, brakes, and tire pressure. Ensures all required documents for the vehicle are in order and up to date regarding vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, and necessary spare parts. Ensures that all immediate actions required by policies are taken in the event of an accident. Ensures passengers adhere to all road safety regulations. Provide input to the preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Problem Solving & Impact: Identifies and recognizes problems that have established procedures and limited impact. Refers non-standard questions and problems to a higher level. Identifies errors that can be easily and quickly detected within the immediate work unit and would result only in minor disruption or expense to correct. Education: ** Liberia School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or equivalent Experience: ** 3 years of related driving experience. Must have a trade test certificate, a valid driving license, and a clean driving record. Experience in the operation of large vehicles; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
