Job Description:

The Project Officer will be responsible for the implementation of the project activities, including the development of project work plans, monitoring and evaluation of project progress, and reporting to the project manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project work plans, including the development of project budgets and resource allocation plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, including the collection and analysis of project data and the identification of areas for improvement.
  • Report to the project manager on project progress, including the submission of regular project reports.
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure the successful implementation of project activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and project beneficiaries.
  • Ensure the effective use of project resources, including financial and human resources.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.
  • Ensure compliance with project policies and procedures, including those related to financial management, human resources, and procurement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the project manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as public health, international development, or business administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project management, including experience in the implementation of projects related to health and development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to collect and analyze data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Fluency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak the language.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including to rural areas.
