Duties and Responsibilities / KPI’s

Patient care and comfort

• Assist nurses in basic patient care
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure) under supervision.
• Help in transporting patients to and from wards, diagnostic areas, or operating rooms.

Support services to patients:

• Assist nurses in basic patient care, including turning and repositioning bedridden patients.
• Serve meals and feed patients who require assistance, ensuring dietary guidelines are followed
• Make and change patient beds, maintain cleanliness, and ensure comfort in patient wards

Monitoring and reporting on patients

• Monitor and report patient conditions or unusual changes to the nurse in charge.
• Monitor patients’ conditions, reports changes to nurses and assist with basic clinical task.

Infection Control compliance

• Maintain ward cleanliness and orderliness, including handling waste and linen properly.
• Ensure all infection control measure in place for both post pre and Post Operations

Counts of instruments and materials

• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure) under supervision.

Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge

• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nurse Aide Training Program. High school diploma or equivalent education level. Experience in assisting nurses with patient care and ward management. Understanding of hospital policies, waste disposal, and infection prevention protocols. Knowledge of vital signs measurement and patient hygiene practices.

Working Conditions

Location: Buchanan/Yekepa

Hours: shift worker with flexible working hours. High Pressure Situations: Operates in a fast-paced environment require focus and composure
