Duties and Responsibilities / KPI’s

Execute and control the maintenance strategy for the concentrator plant, including preventive and corrective instrumentation, control, LV and MV electrical maintenance programs. Oversee the daily instrumentation, control, LV and MV electrical maintenance operations, ensuring that all equipment and systems are maintained to high standards of reliability and performance.

Lead, mentor, and manage the execution instrumentation, control, LV and MV electrical maintenance team, including technician, superintendents and supervisors, preventive and breakdown teams ensuring effective team performance and professional development. Foster a collaborative and safety-focused work environment, providing support and guidance to team members.

Optimize the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and tools, to ensure efficient and cost-effective maintenance operations. Manage the execution maintenance budget, including cost control and expenditure tracking.

Identify and implement improvements to EC&I maintenance processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Utilize data analysis and performance metrics to monitor and improve maintenance activities and equipment reliability.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in all maintenance activities. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.

Oversee maintenance-related projects, including equipment upgrades, system installations, and infrastructure improvements. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.

Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and project progress. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance operations and equipment reliability.

Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in maintenance management.

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field (minimum 10 years). Advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in electrical system design, installation, and maintenance, preferably in a mining or industrial environment (minimum 8 years)
• Proficiency in electrical design software, control systems, and diagnostic tools.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance strategies, equipment reliability, and maintenance management systems.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and data analysis tools.

Working Conditions
