<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities / KPI’s </strong><br><strong>1. Operational Management </strong><br>
• Supervise day-to-day SAG mill operations during the assigned shift. <br>
• Monitor and control SAG mill throughput, feed rate, power draw, load level, and grind size. <br>
• Optimize mill performance to maximize production and recovery. <br>
• Coordinate plant activities with Crushing, Maintenance, Dewatering, Concentrator, and Technical Services teams. <br>
• Ensure stable operation of auxiliary systems including: <br>
▪ Mill lubrication systems <br>
▪ Mill drive systems <br>
▪ Cyclone classification circuits <br>
▪ Feed conveyors <br>
▪ Process water systems <br>
• Manage process upsets and implement corrective actions promptly.</p>
<p><strong>2. Process Optimization </strong><br><br>
• Monitor key operating parameters and adjust operating strategies accordingly. <br>
• Analyse plant data and identify opportunities for throughput improvement. <br>
• Work closely with Metallurgical and Process Engineers to improve circuit performance. <br>
• Minimize process downtime through proactive operational management. <br>
• Support plant improvement projects and commissioning activities.</p>
<p><strong>3. Coordination </strong><br>
• Coordinate planned maintenance shutdowns and equipment isolation activities. <br>
• Ensure timely reporting of equipment defects and abnormal conditions. <br>
• Verify work quality following maintenance interventions. <br>
• Assisting Reliability and Maintenance teams in root cause failure investigations. </p>
<p><br><strong>4. People Leadership </strong><br>
• Supervise, coach, and mentor operators and process attendants. <br>
• Conduct shift handovers and operational reviews. <br>
• Manage employee performance in accordance with company standards. <br>
• Identify training needs and support employee development plans. <br>
• Ensure adequate workforce deployment and coverage during shifts </p>
<p><br><strong>5. Reporting and Administration </strong><br>
• Prepare shift production reports and operational summaries. <br>
• Maintain accurate production, downtime, and operational records. <br>
• Report deviations from production plans and propose corrective actions. <br>
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and documentation requirements. </p>

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in: <br>
▪ Mineral Processing <br>
▪ Metallurgical Engineering <br>
▪ Mechanical Engineering <br>
▪ Mining Engineering <br>
▪ Process Engineering <br>
▪ Related technical discipline </p>
<p><br><strong>• Experience</strong> <br>
▪ Minimum 5 years' experience in mineral processing operations. <br>
▪ Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role within a concentrator or processing plant. </p>
<p><br><strong>▪ Demonstrated operational experience in: </strong> <br>
