JOB SUMMARY

The Market & Sales Agent is responsible for driving the sale and distribution of crushed stone, aggregate, and other quarry products, while building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, contractors, and business partners. As a front-line, on-site leader, the Market & Sales Agent represents Edrine Rock Crusher Inc. in the marketplace, identifies new business opportunities, and works to grow revenue and market share. The role reports directly to the General Manager and requires strong commercial judgment, negotiation skill, and a deep understanding of the local construction materials market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as an on-site leader by setting a strong example of professionalism, initiative, and customer focus for other sales and site personnel.
  • Identify, develop, and secure new sales opportunities for crushed stone, aggregate, and other quarry products among contractors, construction companies, government projects, and individual customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activity, pricing trends, and emerging opportunities within Margibi County and surrounding markets.
  • Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and sales agreements in line with company pricing and credit policies.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts with customers, within limits approved by the General Manager.
  • Coordinate closely with the Plant Manager/Crushing Supervisor and Truck Drivers to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on schedule.
  • Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments in coordination with the accounts/finance function.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer contacts, quotations, and orders, and prepare regular sales reports for the General Manager.
  • Represent the company at site visits, industry events, and meetings with prospective clients and partners.
  • Promote the company’s products and reputation through professional conduct, marketing materials, and consistent customer service.
  • Provide feedback from the market on product quality, pricing, and customer satisfaction to support continuous improvement.
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably assigned by the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A degree or diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years of proven experience in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably within construction materials, quarrying, logistics, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing a customer base.
  • Solid understanding of the local construction and building materials market within Margibi County and greater Liberia.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, email) for reporting and correspondence.
  • Valid driver’s license is an advantage, given the need for site and client visits.

  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail in managing quotations, orders, and records.
  • Honesty and integrity in handling customer accounts, pricing, and company information.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling customer concerns or difficult negotiations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Based on-site at Edrine Rock Crusher Inc. in Zarzone Town, District 1, Margibi County, with frequent travel to client sites, project locations, and markets.
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions typical of a quarry and construction materials environment during site visits.
  • May require early morning, evening, or occasional weekend work to meet clients and close sales.
  • Adherence to all site safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during quarry site visits is mandatory.
