The Master Trainer supports the county-level implementation and monitoring of programme activities under the LiT Liberia Programme. The master trainer works closely with Field Support Staff, RTTIs, education officers, partner institutions, and teachers to ensure high-quality delivery of training, effective follow-up coaching, and strong reporting systems. This role combines programme coordination, child protection and safeguarding, relationship management, and data collection. Key responsibilities include conducting teacher training in STEM hands-on lessons across assigned counties, working with Field Support Staff in organizing training sessions and follow-up visits, collaborating closely with county education officers, and developing and implementing strategies to improve school performance and student outcomes. The Master Trainer reports to: PEN Country Project Manager – Leaders in Teaching Liberia and works closely with Field Support Staff, MEL Officer, Logistics/Admin team, Ministry of Education County Officers, RTTI & University of Liberia coordinators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Education, STEM discipline, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field
  • minimum 2–4 years experience in education programme implementation, teacher training support, NGO field coordination, community or school-based projects, monitoring and reporting activities
  • ability to coordinate field activities independently
  • strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • experience supporting training workshops
  • basic classroom observation skills
  • strong reporting and documentation ability
  • ability to travel frequently within assigned counties
  • confidence working with government education systems
