Mechanical Engineer Supervisor NEC (Open to All Interested Applicants/All Sources)

The U.S. Mission in Liberia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Mechanical Engineer Supervisor within the Facility Management Section (FAC). The Mechanical Engineer Supervisor will oversee the operations and maintenance of large, complex, mechanical systems and equipment. The incumbent will be responsible for resolving complicated mechanical problems, maintaining a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, and ensuring the proper operations of designated equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• The position requires a minimum of five years' experience working as a project engineer/engineer at a manufacturing plant, major resort, hospital, office complex, or a large university/school system managing a preventative maintenance program that incorporates and utilizes a CMMS to track scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requests and their related expenses.
• The incumbent must have a valid, current driver's license for a minimum of five (5) years.
• The position also requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar engineering degree from an accredited university program.
• The incumbent must be able to read and interpret electrical drawings, riser diagrams, wiring schematics, various equipment schedules, and other construction documents.
• The position requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a large workload and multiple tasks simultaneously.
• The incumbent must be highly organized and able to work independently with little or no supervision from the Facility Manager.
• The position also requires the ability to learn and maintain Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) known as Global Maintenance Management System (GMMS) for the mechanical department.
