Job Description

Purpose of the Role

The role exists to strengthen evidence-based decision-making across M2E programs while building strong relationships with local government to ensure M2E receives the support needed to advance its work. The position ensures impact is clearly measured, learning is applied, and collaboration with government enables smooth and effective program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) - Track program impact across all schools using clear baselines, targets, and indicators
  • Analyze learning outcomes and academic performance, including national examination results
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality data collection across schools
  • Produce clear M&E reports that demonstrate impact, assess progress, and inform decisions
  • Learning & Program Improvement - Work closely with management to use data and insights to refine programs
  • Ensure evidence and learning inform: - Program design - School selection - Strategic priorities
  • Partnerships & Government Engagement - Build and maintain strong relationships with local government to ensure M2E is supported in advancing its work
  • Work closely with districts and sectors to support: - school selection - needs assessments - access to relevant data
  • Coordinate with government partners to ensure alignment, facilitation, and smooth collaboration - across program activities
  • Ecosystem Engagement & Talent Sourcing - Engage with the wider education ecosystem to: - identify suitable schools and partners - build a strong pool of candidates aligned with program needs - Use evidence and learning to inform future recruitment profiles and team composition

Profile & Skills

  • Strong background in Monitoring & Evaluation, research, or data analysis
  • Experience working with local government or education systems
  • Ability to analyze academic and program data and translate insights into action
  • Strong coordination, follow-up, and communication skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Strong alignment with evidence-based approaches

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in M&E, or NGO work.
  • Experience working with government stakeholders and public institutions.
  • Strong understanding of M&E frameworks, data collection, and reporting.
  • Experience conducting needs assessments and project management
