Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Mechanical / Engineering / Industrial / Operations Management Tertiary Qualification OR (Minimum – Qualified Artisan.)
• Competent A Certificate Mining Blasting Certificate
• 3 years Supervisory experience in production plant operation
• 2 years previous experience in quarry mining
• Valid Driver’s License
• Computer literate

Duties and Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage resources available in order to optimise plant and utilisation
• To supply the required products of high quality on time at a profit.
• Experience in scheduling of maintenance work
• Experience in planning and execution of shifts and job scheduling
• Experience in troubleshooting
• Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point)
• Knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems
• Experience in maintenance of fixed plant equipment (e.g. feeders, belt conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, etc.) and mobile equipment
• Experience in maintenance of fixed plant equipment (e. g. feeders, belt conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, etc.) and mobile equipment
• Fault finding and problem solving on plant equipment and plant processes conduct daily toolbox talks/Invocoms meetings.
• Ensure good communication with fellow employees and adhere to all set deadlines.
• Ensure all documentation is handled with care and submitted to HOD’s Action issues arising from SHE meetings and liaise with the Risk Department when needed.
• Maintain SHE records.
