About FAWE Liberia Founded on December 15, 1998, FAWE Liberia is a national chapter of FAWE Africa with its mandate to work across Africa to close the gender gap in education and contribute towards the achievement of the Education for All (EFA) goals. The day-to-day activities are being run by its National Secretariat headed by the Executive Director in collaboration with the Executive Committee (FAWE Liberia Board). With its first Board Chairperson being Mrs. Josephine Travers-Porte.

Position Summary FAWE Liberia seeks to recruit an experienced Programme Coordinator to support the organization in achieving its strategic objectives through effective coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of programme activities in line with the FAWE Liberia Strategic Plan (2024–2028) and the organizational work plan. The Programme Coordinator will provide technical and operational support to education and skills development programmes aimed at improving access, retention, completion, and transition opportunities for girls and young women in Liberia. The position will focus on promoting gender-responsive and inclusive education while strengthening partnerships, community engagement, advocacy, and programme quality assurance. The Programme Coordinator will also support monitoring and evaluation processes, documentation of programme results, stakeholder coordination, safeguarding compliance, and implementation of activities that enhance the empowerment and wellbeing of girls and young women. Contract Type This position is on a fixed-term contract for three years, with the possibility of extension subject to availability of funding and satisfactory performance. Location The Programme Coordinator will be based at the FAWE Liberia office, with periodic travel within Liberia as required for programme implementation and stakeholder engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Behaviour Competencies · Strong leadership abilities, · Excellent communication skills (writing/editing/oral) in English. Working knowledge of French Language is an added advantage. · Social skills ability to engage and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders. · Teamwork · Resilience and Flexibility · Work systematically and under limited supervision · Manages crises calmly and effectively · Maintains strict ethical standards, especially when handling sensitive cases.
